Speaker/Trainer/Consultant Support Services

Basic Consultation Fees - $350 per hour

Emerging Speaker's Exposure Program

To be successful as a provider of information services, you must generate the maximum exposure for yourself and your services to people who can use and pay for them.

Packaging and Marketing Your Speaking Services

The program is described below and requires that you participate actively since this is your area of expertise and mandates that you provide the specific inputs to make it viable and successful.

NOTE: The services and functions outlined below are just that -an outline. Your program will be custom tailored to your specific needs and time frames.

We’ll handle certain elements of the project but there are certain parts that require that you do the work, specify the tasks, and/or supervise the actions. In these cases, we’ll show you how, monitor and follow up on your progres

The program, as outlined, will take approximately three-months and includes a set of CD ROM’s, DVDs and books that the speaker will need to further their career.

Part 1 – The College Market

1. Outline and editing of speaking descriptions for colleges, universities, and general presentations

The objective is to assist you in the development of course descriptions and support materials that you can submit to the local colleges plus use for self-sponsored seminars to obtain bookings for your programs

·        We’ll work with you to determine which of your programs, and in what format, are suitable for offering as seminars at the colleges and as standalone programs

·        We’ll outline a package of materials for you to use as a submission package for the schools and work with you to develop course descriptions that you can submit to the schools

·        We’ll write the descriptions for you to review, edit, and approve for submission

·        We’ll create the package (s) for you to sign and mail to the colleges and universities in your area where you can offer your programs

·        We’ll work with you to develop a seminar promotion program for your self-sponsored programs

2. Outline and formatting for workbook/handbooks for your programs

The objective is to assist you in developing a finished book or work book that your audience attendees can purchase and that will give you credibility as the “expert”

We’ll supply you with resources for:

·        Creating the cover

·        FREE access to our graphics account at www.clipart.com

·        Obtaining Library of Congress registration, and

·        Printing the workbook for minimum prices

·        Bar coding/ISBN registration for your products($300 fee)

When it’s complete you’ll have a “finished book” for each of your programs.

Once you’re ready, you’ll need to supply us with the final versions of the workbooks in Word® for Windows®. Then we’ll format the book, convert the files to Adobe Acrobat® for submission to the printer, and supply you with two (2) CD’s each of the Word® and the Adobe® files for printing and archival storage.

We’ll supply you with references and recommendations for getting the cover art completed plus low cost resources for printing of the finished product and show you how to prepare the copyright package for formal submission

NOTE: The normal time required for our involvement in this task is approximately six weeks from the receipt of your basic copy. This task also includes two (2) revisions.

If you require faster service or more revisions, we will bill you at the prevailing rate.

3. Format for a Tips bookle

·        The objective is to create one or more mini-tips booklet for the topics you address     

·        We’ll work with you on the topics, focus, and layout requirements for the mini-tips booklets and supply you with a template so you can cut and paste your material into the outline and make it camera ready for printing

·        We’ll supply you with basic edits on the booklet and recommendations for changes

·        We’ll supply you the resources for getting it printed at 55-95 cents each     

 

3. Development of a “Fee Schedule” and contract

This project is about making money so the creation of a fee schedule and contract becomes a pivotal point of the exercise.

To ensure that the pricing is structured to fit the budgetary abilities of the clients, a complete fee schedule must be developed with decisions made regarding “flexibility” in pricing, goods, and services to accommodate the lower budget people so they can be used to fill your calendar with profit generating activities.

·        We’ll determine what speaking, training, products and consulting services, etc. you’ll want to offer.

·        Once we’ve determined what you’re going to offer, we’ll create a price sheet in Word® for Windows® to cover the items you want to offer.

·        Once that’s decided, we’ll create a contract in Word® for Windows® that you can customize and use for your clients.

Note: These can and should be posted to your web site.

4. Audio question and answer session to get your “up-sell” products started

The objective is to provide you with a set of reinforcement audio CD’s that you can offer in your seminars. These provide added value to the material that you present in your seminars and workshops plus offering a source of review for the material that was covered.

·        You supply us with a set of approximately 100 questions (and answers) that you want asked of you on the recording.

·        We’ll set a date and record the interview at our facility.

·        We’ll edit the interview material, add in an introduction and music for the intro, exit, and background if required

·        We’ll create CD labels for the product and supply you with the software and templates to reproduce them yourself

·        We’ll supply you with low cost resources for reproduction and packaging of the finished product

·        We’ll supply you with references and recommendations for getting the CD cover art completed.

·        This will include a set of master CD’s for you to have reproduced

NOTE: You will have to come to our offices for the actual recording

Part 2 – Keynote Presentations

The second part of this project is to define and package your speaking skills for what has come to be known as the ‘keynote market’ or an area where you are center stage for approximately one hour and present your materials in an entertaining and engaging overview.

Since this is a different venue than the college market and requires a different type of packaging and target marketing effort, there will be a completely different set of task involved in getting you ‘on the platform’ in this marketplace.

This element will encompass the following tasks:

1.  Definition and refinement of the fundamental topic area that you want to address. This will include marketing style write ups of the topic area and the benefits to the audience.

2.  Development of two or three ‘one-sheet’ descriptions of the programs with varied titling and descriptions that can be used as promotional material for the meeting planners that we target

3.  Definition of the target market for these programs and the location of the mailing lists that support them (Note: You’ll probably have to purchase or rent these lists)

4.  Assistance in outlining a book or workbook to support this topic

5.  The recording and editing of an audio CD (as outlined above) to support this topic

6.  Assistance in preparing a ‘media kit’ for submission to these markets including a pertinent CV or resume’, contracts, photo pages, program descriptions, and fee schedule

7.  Assistance in defining your ‘speaker’s web site’ so that your materials are available 24/7 to anyone who needs them

8.  Recommendations for a web site designer to create your speaking/training site for

Follow up will by telephone, fax, and e-mail 

The program consists of regular meetings, teleconferencing, and e-mail coaching as needed, and includes tasks and assignments that you will need to complete in order to assure your complete success.

We’ll throw in an UNLIMITED number of 10 minute consultations and as much e-mail assistance as you can write for the duration of the program.

We’ll supply you with all of the forms, materials, and information you’ll need to do your homework and be successful.

We’ll include copies of “Professional Speaking for the Clueless®” and “Mining the College Market™” as reference materials for what we’re doin

The total price for these services is $5,200 payable at the time this agreement is signed.
